からたちの花が咲いたよ
白い白い花が咲いたよ
Three-petaled orange blossoms are now in full bloom
White, snow white, soooooo white they're blooming

からたちのとげはいたいよ
青い青い針のとげだよ
The thorns of these oranges may hurt you, it's true
Thorns blue, deep blue, soooooo keen they'll hurt you

からたちは畑（はた）の垣根よ
いつもいつもとほる道だよ
Banks of these oranges make hedges in fields
Every day, truly every day, everyyyyyy day, I walk along them

からたちも秋はみのるよ
まろいまろい金のたまだよ
Three-petaled oranges bear fruit when fall comes
Golden round, golden round, soooooo gold, the oranges

からたちのそばで泣いたよ
みんなみんなやさしかつたよ
I shed many tears once by the prickly orange trees
Everyone , everyone, everyyyyyyooone, consoled me

からたちの花が咲いたよ

【注】「からたち」は英語ではtrifoliate orange と訳されるが、この語は
一般的ではないので、上記のように訳した。
